Market Square

Market day is Thursday.

Market Square is where Seabrook holds its market. It lies west of the river, a short walk from the bridge.

Market day is Thursday, from eight in the morning until two. Pitches are let by the Council. On other days the square is quiet.

In December the square is given over to the Christmas market, which has been held since 1957. The Mayor opens it, and the lights on the big tree are switched on. The date is announced in the Chronicle.

Those eating in the open on any day are advised that the gulls are bold and, in the opinion of several residents, getting larger.
