The Seabrook Bakery

Bread from early. Sausage rolls, still warm.

The Seabrook Bakery is on the High Street, next door to Harper’s Bookshop, under a green awning. Jenny Dawkins opens early, and the shop is generally busy before the rest of the street has its blinds up.

Bread and rolls are baked on the premises each morning. The staff remember how regular customers like their rolls, and there is no need to say.

Sausage rolls are sold warm and are popular with pupils of Seabrook Secondary. Scones are also sold.

The sign on the door is turned to Closed at five o’clock. Most of the bread has gone well before then, and loaves can be put by on request.
